The number of teachers and all costs for all of our workshops are scalable based on the number of students.
There are some one-time costs to set up most programs.

2-Day Creation Workshop

This two-day workshop is designed to help participants create and present short plays. It allows participants to be both playwright and actor. On day 1 they are paired up to write a play. Each pair writes a short 2-5 page play by the end of the day. This pairing up allows them to collaborate with their partner by finding common ground, and by bringing their voices together and putting them to paper. Day 2 casts participants in a different play from the one they wrote. They work with our teaching artists to create characters and to tell the stories. At the end of the day, they will present their plays for the other students (and parents/leaders if they are available). By the end of the workshop, students are empowered by watching their words and voices emerge in front of their classmates.

This workshop can be focused on a particular theme or subject, or tied to a particular curriculum. It works great for actors, writers, directors and general theatre students. It is also a terrific team-building experience that builds empathy and develops healthy, strong collaboration skills.

Duration: 2-days, 4 hours/day

Add an optional hour-long evening performance for parents/invited community, if desired. Additional charge would apply.

# of Teachers*: 6 on day 1, 8 on day 2

# of Student participants: up to 25

Age range: Can be adjusted from 3rd grade and up, but works best when participants are grouped by age.

Pricing**: $3,500 for 25 students, $6,500 for 50, $9,000 for 75, etc.

This program has high impact, and a high student-teacher ratio.

1-Day Playmaking Workshop

This one-day workshop is designed to bring students together to create short plays based around a theme or an idea. This theme can easily be tied to curriculum–an art piece, a scientific idea or a news item; or even a retreat theme for adult, corporate clients. Participants will participate in theatre exercises and games that build ensemble and pump their imaginations to help them work as a group to create their plays. By the end of the workshop, each participant will create a five-minute play with their group and perform it for the others.

For this workshop, there are fewer teaching artists, and a lower teacher/student ratio, and participants don’t get the specific experience of working in pairs.

Unique Voices Workshop

This one-day imagination workshop is designed to empower students to express their imaginations and find their voices. Through a series of vocal/physical warm ups and theatre related exercises, students will explore their imaginations. These exercises work to build trust in the group so that they feel comfortable to express their impulses and not judge themselves. By the end of the workshop, each student will have developed a short unique performance piece (a poem, song or character) to share with the rest of the class.
